Treat the BREAD and CUP with RESPECT
By Princess Lipscomb Abbott

Some time someone should send out an announcement to remind Christians “Stay Home if you are just coming to eat the Bread and the Wine like you would at home!” Yes, stay home on Communion Sunday! The reason why I say this is because it is written in the Word that you should not treat the BREAD and CUP like you do at home. Some have not been taught that there is a RESPECT that must be given to the BREAD and the CUP. People are loosing the sight of what is a Theological Masterpiece. The Bread and Cup is a Theological Masterpiece. Treat the BREAD and CUP with RESPECT.

You read the statements and can recite the Bible each Lord’s Supper but they are more than just words. They are the ETERNAL LIFE proclamation of Christ’s saving works that everyone sees each month or whenever it is partaken. It is the remembrance of what has been done. You’ve hear these statements each and every time you partake in Communion or the Lord’s Supper. Many of you can recite them along with me. But did you ever see these words as a Theological Masterpiece? A statement that paints a priceless picture or view to all that hear the words or witness the partaking.

In Luke 22: 19-20 [Supper which the Lord ordained]

 19And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.

 20Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

Or

In Matthew 26: 26-28 [Lord’s body and blood are shared]

 26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

 27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

 28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Christians do this to proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes again. It is the prophetic announcement to those outside the church that Christ is the only way to salvation. The central focus is the remembrance and proclamation of Christ’s saving work.

The history of the Lord’s supper was one where the Early Church had great feasts or banquets. Many used the feasts wrong! They had the feast but not appreciating the masterpiece. Many favored the rich and powerful – they ate first then all others came. They usually left nothing for others to eat. They even discriminated against the poor. They did not understand the true meaning of the Lord’s Supper. What do I mean? Let’s look at the Corinthians. The Corinthians were the example of this behavior. This was recognized by Paul the Apostle and he had to write to them about their ways.

There is a great appreciation for how Paul would always build you up before he told you what was really on his mind. Yes, Paul made sure you were receiving of his words before he had to bring forth the truth about the behavior. We can learn a lot from how Paul wrote to people. These writings set the stage for correction. Apostle Paul began his correction by asking several questions:

Did they not have houses to eat and drink ordinary meals?

Basically – don’t do here [at the Church] and what you do at home. This can be seen in verses 20-22.

Let’s look starting at 1 Corinthians 11: 17-22 to get the entire picture of how one is acting.

 17Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.

 18For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.

 19For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.

 20When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.

 21For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

 22What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? what shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

Why did they discriminate against the poor? If you discriminate against the poor, you are despising the church. Don’t you realize that the poor are an integral part of the Church? Why do the rich humiliate those who have not? Jesus blessed the poor as we can see in Luke 6:20-21 and warned the rich of the difficulties that accompanied their social status (Mark 10:25)

 20And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

 21Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh.

25It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

We should not come physically hungry to the Lord’s Table or Communion! Make sure you have eaten before you get to Church is basically what Paul says to the Corinthians. He points out – Don’t act like you are at your house. You are in the Lord’s House.

Can you see how meek Paul is in his letter? Meek is not weak, meekness draws honey to catch the fly.

For Christians, the symbols of our faith stand before us each time we partake of the Bread and Cup in representation of the shedding of blood and body sacrificed for our SIN.

We must not forget what three things Jesus said about the Bread:

This is my body. which is for you (Christ suffered death on the cross on behalf of others) do this in remembrance of me (an event when God’s people were to remember the death, and resurrection of Christ – Jesus’ last meal)

Look at the bread and think of Jesus, the body, how he suffered, and continue to remember.

Next, Jesus took the Cup:

And did the same with a separate blessing

The wine represented the new covenant in Jesus’ blood. One way we know this is true. Let’s go see how the prophets had foretold this. Jeremiah 31:31.

Prophets were foretelling ….

31Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

And these prophets foretold this: Ezekiel 37:26;

26Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

Isaiah 54:10;

10For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee

Jeremiah 32:40;

 40And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

Daniel 9: 4;

4And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

and Zechariah 9: 11

 11As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

Look at the wine and think of Jesus, the blood, pure and innocent, and continue to remember.

Never come to get a meal – come to get spiritually fed.

These two elements are used from a spiritual acknowledgement of Jesus Christ themselves. For when you eat and drink because of physical hunger or without the understanding of why this is important, it brings damnation to that one who is partaking.

The Bread only will not do it. The Cup alone will not do it. Yet synergized, the power, glory, and reference for Jesus Christ stands before us. Spiritual food for spiritual needs not Physical food for physical needs. The Bread and Cup are not partaken for physical needs. It is all spiritual because without the belief in Jesus Christ; that he was sacrificed for us, that he rose on the 3rd day with all power; sits at the right hand of God – without that belief, the Bread and the Cup mean nothing more than something to eat and something to drink.

This theological masterpiece that is here before you is replicated daily, weekly, monthly by those who believe. These two symbols together are probably one of the most reproduced on bulletins, papers, photos, and artwork in the World.

The highest of Christian leaders to the least have been seen administering the Theological Masterpiece.

An unsaved person does not take Communion or Lord’s Supper. Why, because they have not been saved yet. If the unsaved takes the Bread and Cup, they are not taking the Lord’s supper. They are just taking Bread and Cup without faith.

We are proud to take the Bread and Cup when it is given because we know what this means. We know that without this reference of the Bread and the Cup, we are not being the true believers of Jesus Christ we claim to be.

Christians do this to proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes again. It is the prophetic announcement to those outside the church that Christ is the only way to salvation. When the whole World see the Church eating and drinking in order to remember the significance of Christ’s body and blood – Word of God is made visible.

The Bread and the Cup – A Theological Masterpiece.

Visually seeing a living masterpiece of Christ’s people displaying the remembrance of him until he comes again

As we get ready to partake of the Lord’s Supper, think of it as A Theological Masterpiece that only the Lord Jesus could create.

And the child asked his Father, “What’s in Hell that you Want?”
By Princess Lipscomb Abbott

 Bible Verse Focus: Revelation 20:15
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Children are always listening to what is being said. Do you agree?

They listen all day long. Sometimes, they listen on purpose. Sometimes, indirectly. But most of the time, to hear what is being said. Children’s vocabulary increases significantly by the number of words pronounced versus what they read. They can say it before they can even spell the word.

Their increased vocabulary is excited for a parent until the language does not seem appropriate. We must be mindful of our language and what we say and how we say things because that child, that youth, will be within listening distance of it most of the time.

A little child does what most children do; they ask a lot of questions. They hear all types of conversations going on. They are like a sponge: absorbing all they hear. Most cannot filter out what is real from what is not. They just absorb.

Have you ever had a child to come up to you and just ask a question for no apparent reason? Not sure where it came from, well let’s take a walk into the listening ears of a child.

Well there’s the television, radio, the cell phone, the IPad, the computer, and people. So when the child wakes up, what noise or sounds does he/she hear? What conversations are being verbalized? Now that child is outside playing, walking, investigating what is going on down the street. Here’s where our story begins.

It’s another one of those hot days where everyone comes out about 6-7 pm in the evening. People are everywhere, doing everything, and saying whatever is on their mind.

Now remember a child does not go around trying to make conversation just to make conversation. But, asks questions that are on their mind. They ask because they have heard someone talking. They might be watching television shows or just walking around listening to all the conversations going on.

So one day this child happened to hear two adults talking very loudly and encouraging each other to go somewhere. Soon, others join into the conversation and encourage them to go there as quickly as possible. One person even told the other person, “If you do not go soon, I might have to take you there myself”. So this child listened and listened and listened. He did not understand much of what was being said but was eager to ask his friends about this place so that he might go there too.

He asked his friends this question “what’s in Hell that they wanted?” The other children said, “I don’t know?” What’s Hell? The boy said, “I don’t know either” So he ask more kids. It seemed that the boy could not find anyone who could tell him the answer. So like a child who wants to find out what this means, he goes in to ask his Father a question.

The group of boys goes over to this child’s house with him. Soon after the boy says Dad, “What’s in Hell that you want?” The father turned around in shock and starting to raise his hand saying “What did you say?” and the boy with any fear said, “What’s in Hell that you want?” The father jumped up and said “don’t you talk to me like that!” and the boy said but Dad all we (all the boys) want to know is “What’s in Hell that you want?”

The Father realizes that his son is serious and is not being smart with him. The father sits down and tells all the boys to have a seat. The Father begins by saying, “what do you mean?” The boy says well I heard these two people talking about “What’s in Hell that you wanted?” There were others saying the same thing, so I wanted to know what you wanted in Hell? Maybe we can go there!

The Father calmly explains that there is nothing in HELL that he wants because this place called Hell is not a place he ever wants to go. The boys ask “Why?”. The Father says because this is a place of eternity for your Soul where the Fires never cool, heat never goes down, and Satan has dominion over all those being tormented. It’s a place where those who did not choose Jesus as their Saviour will live forever. Separated from God forever. Jesus was born, lived, died and rose from the grave to pay our SIN debt. This debt could only be paid by the Son of God. The one who came to keep us from eternal separation from God. Heaven is the place that Jesus says he has gone to prepare for us not HELL. Heaven should be where all want to go not HELL. Going to Hell means never getting to Heaven: Never to see the pearly gates. To sing praises to God. To being eternally with the Father Almighty God. To be where the streets are paved with Gold. Never being hungry. Never being sick. Never having a body that decays. Yet, in Hell, there is physical agony, mental suffering, weeping, and gnashing of teeth. A bottomless pit, an abyss.

Is this place real? Heaven is just as real as Hell. How do you know this? For in the Bible, it tells us about Hell in Rev. 20: 1-3; 14-15; Matt 13: 42 & 50; Matt 7:23; Matt 10: 27-29; and several more verses if you need more.

The other boys say to their friend, I’m glad you asked him “What in Hell did he want?” otherwise we might not have never known “What’s in Heaven for me”.

Reflect back: The boy never actually heard what the real statement was the adults were saying but good came from that negative statement that was being made in front of a child.

Sometimes, the innocent statement of a child opens a door that explains more than any Sunday School or Bible Study for a child. The statement the child heard was not really the statement the two people were saying but it opened up a door to witness to a child. The young of today want to ask the question, “What’s in Hell that you want?” and we should be able to tell them “Nothing, for we strive to go to Heaven.”

Don’t you want your name in the BOOK of LIFE? For it is written in Revelations 20:15

And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Again, "What’s in Hell that you want?"

Moving Forward, we count on it
By Princess Lipscomb Abbott

Well, another winter has passed. Another new season is to start.
We move forward into the anticipation of warm weather, beautiful days, so much time to spend in the sun.

We mow our lawns and manicure our flower beds.
We water our grass; mulch the flowers; plant the flowers; watch stuff grow.

We wake up early, go to bed late so not to miss one hour of awesomeness in the day.

We move forward with excitement.
We move forward with enjoyment.
We move forward with anticipation of what this season is to bring.

But wait a minute! What if God had not made another winter pass?
What if God did not start the new season?
What if God brought no warm weather, beautiful days, or gave you time to spend in the sun?

You would not be mowing your lawns; manicuring your flower beds; planting more flowers; or watching stuff grow.

You would have no reason to wake up early; spring out of bed; stay out late so that you did not miss one hour of His awesomeness of the day He created.

His Son moved forward from the grave so that we know the excitement, joy, and the anticipation of what is to come.

Moving forward -- Rising from the Grave to prepare a place for us.
Give Him praise for Moving forward each and every day. Because without Him, we could not be moved.

Well, I've go to move forward now. See you next time.

David & His 5 Stones – What’s He Doing Here? Did he Go on his own or was he Sent? (Part II)
By Minister Princess

What’s He Doing Here? Have you ever heard someone say that about someone else? Or about you? Or you said about someone? Well, there is a reason for a person being at a designated place at a designated time. It might not be revealed at that moment to you, but it was no accident. It may have been predestined. The person may not look like much. Sound like they should. Carry themselves as you expect, but they are there for a reason. Let’s look at a prime example: David from David and Goliath Story. I Samuel 17:1- 49

You may have only heard about David and Goliath but did you realize how David got to the Battle.

Let’s talk about David now. David was a shepherd boy who was not the favorite of his father, Jesse. David spent many hours in the fields with the sheep. He had lots of time to practice his sling. David was not a soldier who could not fight. His weapon of choice was not something anyone else used or chose.

David Resume was His Testimonials

Young boy
Shepherd
Sling user
Bear Killer
Lion Killer

Now, we need to know how David got to the place where the Giant taunted Saul’s entire army. David wasn’t a soldier so how did he get there? It was no accident. It was in God’s plan. David was one of eight sons of Jesse, Ephrathite of Bethlehem. David was sent to deliver food and gather information from his oldest 3 brothers who were at the Valley of Elah. David was sent by His Father. He was not only sent by his natural father, Jesse, but by God himself, his Heavenly Father. By no means did anyone, but God, know that David would become a “Deliverer” of more than just food. In one sense, he was being sent in harms way. Think about it. You are on your way to a Battlefield to provide supplies. You might become collateral damage due to you just being there. Will the enemy restrain themselves from not trying to slaughter you if you are there when they begin fighting? Anyone who was not Philistine would have been considered an enemy, correct? A shepherd boy with no armor, no sword, no soldier training, goes to Valley of Elah. You see God has a way of sending you to the right place for the right time for the right reason. Definitely if you are protected in danger, it’s God doing the protecting. It may not seem to you right but God’s ways are not our ways:

Isaiah 55: 8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD.

Let us start reading at 1 Sam 17: 12.

12 Now David was the son of the Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, whose name was Jesse, and he had eight sons. And Jesse was old in the days of Saul, advanced in years among men. 13 The three older sons of Jesse had gone after Saul to the battle. And the names of his three sons who went to the battle were Eliab the firstborn, and the second to him Abinadab, and the third Shammah. 14 David was the youngest. Now the three oldest followed Saul, 15 but David went back and forth from Saul to tend his father’s flock at Bethlehem. 16 The Philistine came forward morning and evening for forty days and took his stand.
17 Then Jesse said to David his son, “Take now for your brothers an ephah of this roasted grain and these ten loaves and run to the camp to your brothers. 18 “Bring also these ten cuts of cheese to the commander of their thousand, and look into the welfare of your brothers, and bring back news of them. 19 “For Saul and they and all the men of Israel are in the valley of Elah, fighting with the Philistines.”

So now David knows that the Battle with the Phillistines is about to happen. So he is taking food to not only his brothers but the commanders of men. But before he gets there, Saul’s men sees the Giant and is so afraid. Verse 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.

So afraid that Saul made a bounty for anyone who kills the Giant. King Saul’s Bounty – Bribery. Tax favor for Warrior and extended family plus hand of marriage to King’s Daughter.

Once David gets there, he runs into the Army to find his brothers. He begins talking with them and hears the Giant.

The Fear in Israel’s Army

Thought of self only - life

Goliath taunting them for 39 days before David came.

This is how David got in the midst of the Battle in the Valley of Elah.

Oh, I have to stop, my 15-minutes is up. See you next time.

Did it take 15 minutes for David's 5 Stones for 5 Giants? Part I
By Minister Princess Abbott

Where do Giants come from?

A lot of people think the Story of David and Goliath was cut and dry. Boy meets Giant. Boy kills Giant. The end. Few take the time to see David’s character and faith that allowed God to move through him. David humbled himself so that the Living God could use him as a vessel to kill the Giant. Let us try to know more about the person then what you’ve heard. Because once you know, you can better appreciate the person. He did not arrive overnight as the “Giant” slayer. David had testimonials of the Bear and the Lion then before the Giant. All seemed to be trying to take something that was not theirs.

In I Samuel 17:1- 49 as the main scriptures, there was...

[Trust in God]: 37: And David said, "The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand [literally, "the paw"] of this Philistine.

[Challenge ahead] 45: David said to the Philistine, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

You may have only heard about David and Goliath but now you glean ‘The REST OF THE STORY’

What do we really know about Giants?

They were not made up ‘tales’ by man. They are not today’s really tall people. They were real. The first real giants God had placed in His Word as to how they were created.

So you ask: Where did Giants come from? Well in Genesis 6: 1-8 tells us how not where.

1 When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with [a] man forever, for he is mortal [b] ; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."

 4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

 5 The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. 6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. 7 So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air—for I am grieved that I have made them." 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Nephilim were on earth - Sons of God who were heroes of old, men of renown. They were not necessarily good. They took up to marry with human daughters which created these giants. This is how giants appeared.

So now let’s talk about David and the Giants. Yes I made it plural.

Philistine Army had 5 Giants – Goliath, 3 brothers (ref the brothers - 2 Sam 21: 19-22) and one not related to Goliath that were killed later by David’s men.

The Challenge – The Battle ( Valley of Elah) 1 Sam 17: 4-19 (I have extracted only several verses but please read your bible for 4 -19)

 The Philistines stood on the mountain on one side while Israel stood on the mountain on the other side, with the valley between them.Then a champion came out from the armies of the Philistines named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.He had a bronze helmet on his head, and he was clothed with scale-armor which weighed five thousand shekels of bronze.He also had bronze greaves on his legs and a bronze javelin slung between his shoulders.The shaft of his spear was like a weaver’s beam, and the head of his spear weighed six hundred shekels of iron; his shield-carrier also walked before him.

GOLIATH - A Giant, 9 – 11 ft tall, carrying armor on his body that weighed between 125–194 lbs; head of his spear weighed between 17-23 lbs. His sword was no ordinary straight one. It was sickle-like and he carried it across his back. This giant carried Giant sized weapons.

Maybe something similar to this one.

Goliath taunting Saul’s Army for 39 days before David came. Goliath made a challenge and a promise. With His height between 9 feet Tall to 11 feet Tall (not considered the tallest one) – He yelled 2 times a day (Verse 16) at them.

Only on the 40th day was David there to hear the Challenge. In Verse 9 Goliath tells us the outcome of fighting him.

“If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will become your servants; but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall become our servants and serve us.”

10 Again the Philistine said, “I defy the ranks of Israel this day; give me a man that we may fight together.” 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid. Saul was greatly afraid.

Just think about you looking across the Battlefield Mountain tops and you see not just Goliath (who was 9+ ft tall) but also his 3 brothers were part of the Philistine Army. Goliaths father was a giant too. That makes 5 Giants in the family. Now, everyone knows that when you mess with one, you better be ready to take them all down because they will want to avenge their brother. Does anyone see how important the rest of the stones could become?

Well, my time is up for this time. The next time you see a very tall person, please do not call them ‘A Giant’ because they really aren’t.

I want you to have a good visual of this Giant because with all he had, he still fell down. Giants do fall. If you are curious about the other giants, there are 12 mentioned in the Bible. I would provide more but that would take me over my 15 minutes today.

Re-read the story from the Bible, you might see more this time than you did last time. Let me know what you think?

Next time, I will talk about David and the 5 Stones.

Ok, I’ll listen but “You’ve Got 15 Minutes!”
Minister Princess

Is this statement true “15 minutes is all the time I have to listen to you”?

Have you ever noticed how much time you really spend listening to your spouse, children, co-workers, television, pastor, preacher, minister, Sunday school teacher, weekly bible study, GOD?

Next time you are speaking with someone, check your watch. Time the amount really spent. Keep a journal of who you’ve spoken with and how much LISTENING time you spent. Not you were talking to them, but you listening to others.

You will be surprised to learn that it is really never over 15 minutes.

People have started loosing or never gained the ability to actively listen attentively to what someone is saying. If Listening was achieved, the exercise about telling 10 people, the exact statement, would not hold true. Most likely there are 5-10 versions of the statement when it only started with one. There is a change in listening skills as information is passed on.

Start your journal. Get your watches ready. Go!

So what did God say to you today, yesterday, or in the past? Did you actively listen for more than 15 minutes? Do you get to 15 minutes? My guess is No. My guess is that you spent about 2-3 minutes and that might be pressing it to hear from God.

When you go to Church service, look at a television Church service, etc, how long do you stay focused on the Word of God not the program/service. Probably no longer than 15 minutes before your mind begins to wander off to other things, other thoughts, other……

Please realize I am not criticizing you. I am not trying to make you feel guilty. I am trying to invoke an action.

I have realized from watching others in other congregations of many other churches, when any minister, pastor, preacher or myself preaches, the sermon has to be spiritually powerful for the first 15 minutes for you to listen.

Because after 15 minutes you have taken your eye off God’s Word:

  • You start reading the bulletin;
  • You start thinking about what to cook,
  • You start thinking about where to go for dinner,
  • You start going to the bathroom,
  • You start thinking about what television shows you want to watch,
  • You start thinking about what happened before you got to church,
  • You start thinking about what you want to do for the rest of the day,
  • You start thinking about why can’t she stop preaching now “I’ve got the point”, or even
  • You start thinking about when the service is going to end.

Yes, it could be my preaching but I don’t think it is limited to the messages God has given to me that this happens to. I only preach for 15 minutes and then I sit down. Preaching the Word of God is hard work. It is exhausting. For you give all you have while you are up there. But for this labor of love, I would not trade it for all of what the World has to offer. Luke 4: 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Now for those who are beyond 15-minutes, then 15 minutes does not apply to you but it once did.

You see the World has gotten your attention in 15-minute programming intervals. Regular Television Shows are about 15 minutes with 5 minutes or more of commercials within each segment. You do not watch a 1-hour program. It is really about 50 minutes with 10 minutes of commercials give or take a mess up with commercials.

So for my 15 minutes, I have aroused your level of attentiveness to several things:

Time Estimate your activities with God: listening to God; praying to Him; talking to Him;

Questioned you to think about 15-minutes that you might be listening;

Asked you to start a journal about your listening habits when measuring your 15-minutes;

Challenged you to see where you fall in the 15-minute range for your Church services – Receiving the Word;

Television programming. How long was the segment that you watch before a commercial came on?

Start spending quality time with God. Start getting passed the 15-minute mark.

Well, my 15 minutes to invoke you is over.

Thanks for reading and I pray that something I said starts you to actively go beyond the 15 minutes you give today.
