The Lips of a Fool

"The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a fool will swallow up himself. The beginning of the words of his mouth is foolishness: and the end of his talk is mischievous madness." Ecclesiastes 10:12-13

Unfortunately for the already uneasy American voter, we can now add the profane and foolish, "pay-to-play" Governor of Illinois, Rod Blagojevich, to President Elect Barack Obama's list of friends and associates, including convicted felon Tony Rezko, hate filled racist pastor Jeremiah Wright, and unrepentant domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn. 

President Elect Obama knows them well, and was significantly involved with them during his political life in Chicago. Tony Rezko was a key fund raiser for all his election bids. They were involved together in a questionable real estate investment and a scheme to control the Chicago Planning Board along with Blagojevich. Wright was his pastor for 20 years. Ayers, with whom he served on the same board, held his kickoff campaign meeting for Illinois State Senate in Ayer's home.  And now we find that Obama was one of Blagojevich's chief campaign strategists for Governor.

Writer and researcher Zee Towner* says,

"On December 9th Blagojevich was arrested by the FBI for attempting to sell the senatorial seat vacated by Obama. Obama claims to know nothing. Obama claimed to know nothing of Jeremiah Wright's racist preaching despite the fact that Obama attended Wright's church for twenty years, was married there and had his two children baptized there."

"And Obama claimed to know nothing about Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn despite the fact that they were two of the most destructive domestic terrorists in the twentieth century and any politically active college student in the 70's and 80's, as Obama was, could not help but know who they were. It is simply inconceivable.
Either Obama has no memory, has a problem with reality, or is completely convinced that he can fool all of the people all of the time."  

But there is more:

With regard to Obama's association with Ayers and Dohrn, Towner says,

"From 1995 to 1999, Barack Obama led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a foundation where Bill Ayers was a founder and guiding force. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge gave more than $49.2 million to community organizers and school reformers. As well known by now, Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn were domestic terrorists for the Weather Underground during the 1960s and 1970s. Obama launched his political career at an event at Ayers's and Dohrn's home. The exact date is not known, but in the second half of 1995, State Senator Alice Palmer introduced her chosen successor, Barack Obama, to a few of Chicago's influential liberals at the home of Ayers and Dohrn.   "When I first met Barack Obama, he was giving a standard, innocuous little talk in the living room of those two legends-in-their-own-minds, Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn", Maria Warren wrote on her blog. "They were launching him - introducing him to the Hyde Park community as the best thing since sliced bread."

Ayers chose Obama to lead the education foundation, which Obama led for 4 years. Obama later commenced his campaign for State Senate in Ayers' home, but disingenuously claimed publicly in his Presidential Campaign that he was just a guy who "lived in the neighborhood." Obama's campaign claim that his administration would be "transparent" was already compromised.

With regard to Obama's association with Rezko & Blagojevich, Towner states,

"In Chicago, January 2003, Barack Obama was chairman of The (State) Senate Health & Human Services Committee and played a major role in pushing through Senate Bill 1332.  The Bill reduced the number of (Planning) Board members from 15 to 9, making votes easier to pass. Board members would be appointed by Governor Blagojevich." (Hilites mine - Crowe)

"Stuart Levine sought Board reappointment and told Blagojevich he would vote however they wanted when approving projects."

"Jennifer Thomas, a former Blagojevich aide, testified that she attended weekly meetings at Tony Rezko's office between spring 2003 and November 2004 where Rezko said Levine should be reappointed." (Blagojevich and Rezko were working together and it appears that Obama was either knowingly involved or extremely naieve and easily duped.)

"Planning Board nominees were all major contributors to the campaigns of Blagojevich, and then US senate hopeful Obama."

"On June 30, Michael Winter, who served as a funnel for money paid through an investment firm, donated $3,000 to Obama.  Obama also received contributions directly from appointees Jack Carriglio and Anthony Abboud."

"In June 2003 - Rezko held a lavish fundraiser for Obama at his Illinois mansion, providing key seed money to launch his U.S. Senate campaign."

"On July 15 the Board's then chairman, Thomas Beck, brought a $1,000 check to Rezko to make sure Blagojevich reappointed him. Beck was reappointed. Beck testified that Rezko told him Blagojevich was set to appoint Rezko's three doctor friends to complete the voting bloc:  Dr Michel Malek, Dr Fortunee Massuda and Dr Imad Almanaseer. Malek gave $25,000 to Blagojevich and $10,000 to Obama.
Massuda gave $25,000 to Blagojevich and $2,000 to Obama. Almanaseer gave $3,000 to Obama."

"A June 2003 email shows Obama received the names of the Planning Board nominees in advance from the office of David Wilhelm.  Wilhelm headed Blagojevich's 2002 campaign for governor. Planning Board nominees were all major contributors to the campaigns of Blagojevich."

Towner's research shows that, "Rezko was a major fundraiser for Obama's presidential campaign and helped to bankroll Obama in five election runs - for the state Senate, U.S. House and U.S. Senate. Obama said he sometimes talked strategy with Rezko daily. (Rezko is now in prison awaiting sentencing on corruption charges.)"  

Are we, the watching public, to believe that Obama really 'didn't know' what these people were all about? Considering his relationship with Rezko and his role in passing a bill that favored Blagojevich's desire to control the decisions of the Planning Board, Obama could not have been so naive.

These facts should be of concern to all Americans, no matter how much the media, party talking heads, and Obama supporters wish to ignore it.  It is like the proverbial elephant in the room that no one wants to notice or talk about, and he is getting more constipated by the minute!

It stretches credulity that Obama, purportedly one of the brightest minds and political strategists in America, could be so 'outside the loop' in Chicago politics, when in fact, he was right in the middle of it all!

Obama's credibility, integrity, judgement, and credentials (and those of his campaign team) to occupy the White House are now, unavoidably, in question.  He is either incredibly naive, or a willing participant in the corrupt political machine that has plagued Chicago for decades. Whichever, his qualifications to be President of the most powerful nation in the world are now in serious question.

If Obama's Chicago connections had been investigated thoroughly and reported honestly by a doting media (as had been done to Sara Palin), the American people might well have chosen otherwise. Hopefully, for all Americans, and for our well being as a nation, the truth will not be suppressed.

Science and the Genesis Creation Account

Dec 5, 2008 - Scripture was not written by scientists for scientists; it was written by men living in ancient times. The Genesis account, penned by Moses around 1450 BC, was written when people were living in the late Bronze Age. Primitive stone and bronze tools were used to work the land, to make weapons, and to build homes. Writing as we known it was recently introduced, but not a widespread skill. The great emphasis of day-to-day life was to find food for survival. Natural science was limited to personal observation. Many in those days were polytheistic; they worshiped natural phenomena such as the sun, the moon, stars, fire, and water.

Moses, author of the creation account in Genesis, had been educated in Egypt. Ancient Egypt flourished from 3000 BC until the first centuries AD. Its successes were largely based on the irrigation of the Nile valley, early development of basic writing, trade with surrounding regions, and military strength. Egyptians believed in a complex network of multiple gods and an afterlife that emphasized the preservation of the body; hence, mummies. Moses’ Egyptian background is also evident in his choice of words throughout the Hebrew text.

This is the background against which the Genesis account should be read and understood. People 3,500 years ago had no concept of “knowledge” like we have in our time. That which could not be seen or experienced personally would be beyond their ability to understand.

In Genesis, much emphasis is placed upon creation “days” (translated from the Hebrew word yowm In English-speaking circles these days are commonly interpreted to be 24-hour days. As noted above in chapter 2, these “days” should not be the focal point of discussion. Given the background of Jewish people, including Moses, events far distant in time would make little sense and likely could not be understood. The use of yowms to describe the process of creation seems a logical choice to convey a difficult concept in a language and account that could be grasped by Moses’ contemporaries.

Independent on whether yowm is a 24-hour day or some other expression of time, the text of the first chapter of Genesis shows some remarkable insights:

• There is one God: The vast majority of ancient religions are polytheistic, just like the Egyptian beliefs. Genesis sets forth the concept of One God.

• God is outside His creation: The gods of the ancients were represented by natural phenomena, usually the sun (the Egyptian god Ra) or moon (worshiped as Thoth by the Egyptians). In Genesis, God created the universe: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1).

• There was a beginning: Most ancient religions believed the universe had existed forever. Until the middle of the twentieth century even many scientists still believed the universe had always existed. Only during our generation has science – astronomy in particular – proved conclusively that the universe had a starting point (Big Bang). How was Moses aware of this?

• The beginning was not by chance. The beginning did not just happen; it occurred because God caused it (“God created…”). Big Bang cosmology still has no answer to that claim.

• Original conditions were not suited for life: Whatever the precise condition of earth’s primordial atmosphere might have been, scientists agree it could not have supported life. Genesis confirms added steps were needed once the earth was created.

• Non-life preceded life. Vegetation preceded animal life: According to Genesis, God created plant life at the end of the third day. This is consistent with natural science, which claims amino acids form proteins or RNA which lead to living organisms. Vegetation is essential to produce oxygen for our atmosphere so that animal life could appear.

• Simple preceded complex: The fossil record leads to the conclusion of natural science that simple organisms preceded more complex life forms. Genesis describes the same order of events.

• Mankind appears at the end: According to scientific observations, modern man appeared once recently in the geological record, later than all other life forms. Genesis teaches that God created mankind on the last day of creation.

Amazing, even mind-boggling! Those words come to mind when one realizes how accurately the 3,500-year-old Genesis account describes what human science has only figured out over the last 50 years or so. More than any generation before us, we have the scientific knowledge that shows that Moses was correct. But how could Moses have known – unless by revelation from God – how our world came to be?

How to Respond to the 2008 Presidential Election

Nov 11, 2008 - Half the nation may be feeling very discouraged and the other half ecstatic. Here's how Christians can respond:

1. Congratulate African-Americans on this historic election of the first African-American President of the United States! Millions of their forebears have suffered incalculable and sinful wrongs at the hands of the white majority population for centuries--during and after slavery. May this election bring a much deeper healing to those ancient wounds. Rejoice with those who rejoice! I do!

2. For those who voted for the other side, let me share with you what I think God told me the day after the election--after I got over my own grief at the results: " He has only been elected. He has not changed one law yet. There is still time for God's people to pray that he will do only good for American and not do any harm." Most presidents have done some of both--despite what we thought they would do in office.

I say that the future of America is not in any President's hands. It is in God's hands and a holy, repentant, unified Church can move the hand of God according to His will. God wants us to move His hand to bless, heal, protect and provide for America, but he had limited Himself, as the Scriptures teach, to do some things only if His people pray well and live well before Him. "If my people...then I will heal their land. ( II Chron 7:13-14). Please read verse 13. It says that when God judges a nation with calamities ( 911, Katrina, floods, Economic meltdown), He can be petitioned to relent and restore by a holy, repentant, praying people. So, pray for our new President and His family. Pray every blessing and protection on them you can. His success is our success as a nation. Our destinies are intertwined (Jer 29:7). It is our calling from 1 Peter 2.9 and I Tim 2:1-2. A good list of prayers is found here.

Also, pray specifically that he does not do three things: 1) Cause more unborn children to die by abortion as he has promised he would by eradicating laws to protect the unborn. Greater shedding of innocent blood will only increase the judgement of God on America and really ruin our economy. 2) Accommodate the empire ambitions of Muslims who have already all but taken over Europe. His Muslim roots may make him too sympathetic to America's greatest political and religious enemy now. 3) That he would not implement any of the racist teachings he absorbed for 20 years from his pastor.

Three Critical Reasons Not to Elect Barak Hussein Obama

Nov 3, 2008 - It is easy to understand why, in the words of that famous Christmas song, "the hopes and fears of all the years" are met in Senator Obama for many people, especially for African-Americans. Here is a handsome, well-educated, intelligent and very well-spoken African-American who could be our next President. I, too, look forward to the day when a Black man or a Black woman sits in the Oval Office as President. I wish Colin Powell or Condi Rice would run for President. When American elects a person of color as President, a deeper racial healing could happen in America among all races. If the candidates were about the same on values and policies, I would vote for the person of color. But I believe that Senator Barak Hussein Obama is not the one who should be that first African-American President of the United States. I have problems with both candidates, but the differences I have with Senator McCain pale in comparison with the ones I have with Senator Obama.

First, a disclaimer: this email is not motivated by any racial prejudice. I totally agree with what Dr. Martin Luther King stated that no man should be judged on the basis of the color of his skin. Many of you know that I have spent years working publicly for racial reconciliation with pastors. I joyfully joined an all-Black church in the 90’s for two years and I loved it. One chapter of my book, Healing America’s DNA is all about the sins and moral crimes of the white community against Black slaves and Black people even into the 20th century in Hampton Roads. Few people know that I had a Black grandfather. I knew my paternal grandmother’s second husband, Charlie, as a kind and godly fully African-American man. For these reasons and more, I agonized over writing this message for weeks because I know that some of my friends will not agree with what I say and some might be very offended. I regret that, but I must share what I feel to be truths that could literally mean life or death for many future Americans.

The main reason I cannot vote for Senator Obama is his clear, consistent and totally unbiblical positions on the value of unborn children. Abortion is the one area where Senator Obama has clearly shown what he stands for as a leader. “Barrack Obama is the most extreme pro-abortion candidate ever to seek the office of President of the United States. He is the most extreme pro-abortion member of the United States Senate. Indeed, he is the most extreme pro-abortion legislator ever to serve in either house of the United States Congress.” [1][1] See this link for details in an article written by Robert P. “What would President Obama do? Obama says, “The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act” (FOCA). His top agenda would be to strike down every pro-life law that has been instated by state legislatures and the Congress, including parental consent laws, partial birth abortion, health standards for abortion clinics and the Born Alive Infant Act, which provided for life-saving medical procedures for a baby born alive from a botched abortion. That is an act that passed the US Senate 98 to 0 (Sen. Obama was not in the Senate yet) and an act that Obama opposed four times as senator of Illinois. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.

There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100 % rating.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court.
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion.
There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wants to continue

2. Senator Barrack Hussein Obama has deep Islamic roots and we are at war with millions of Muslims. He was raised by two, foreign Muslim fathers, attended public Muslim schools in Indonesia, had two Pakistani Muslim roommates in college and spent three weeks in Pakistan after college, traveling, it seems, on an Indonesian passport since he had been adopted by his Indonesian, Muslim step-father, Lolo Soetoro, who renamed him Barry Soetoro. His religion was listed as Muslim on his Catholic school records in Indonesia. He later attended Muslim public schools there where the Quran is normally taught. He did not become a Christian until he was in his 20’s. His Muslim roots go very deep.

Radical Islam a group that may comprise about 50 million people of the 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide-- has again declared open war on all Christian and Jewish people of the world. This is just the return of the real Islam that was Christianity’s greatest military foe for the first 1000 years of Islam until 1663. Radical Islam is the real Islam of the Quran and of Mohammed, its warlord prophet. Europe has all but fallen to the wiles of Islam. Sharia law is now part of the legal system in Great Britain! America is next on the Muslim list of nations to invade and colonize. Islam’s stated goal in the Quran is to make all Christians and Jews submit to them politically. This verse (surah) from the Quran is only one of many verses calling for violence against non-Muslims: “Fight those who do not believe in Allah … until they pay the Jizya with willing submission and feel themselves subdued (Surah 9:29). Although no one can judge a man’s heart, it is safe to say that Senator Barak Hussein Obama must have deep Muslim sympathies and he certainly does have many Muslim relatives in Kenya and Indonesia. It is foolish to elect such a person as Commander in Chief of our military and as the primary leader of our nation in the face of these renewed Islamic attacks and the Islamization of the Western world.

This may be partially why Senator Barak Hussein Obama has the public support of so many Islamic terrorists groups and governments like Hamas and Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, who gave a public speech in June praising Obama as a Muslim. Nation of Islam ruler, Louis Farrakhan, has recently decreed that Barak Hussein Obama speaks for the Messiah! See this clip. Why are Muslims so enamored with him?  What will Obama do to the nation of Israel with such strong Muslim roots? Islam hates Israel. I am deeply concerned about that. America’s support of Israel is vital to Israeli security against increasing Islamic aggression.

3. His Racial Viewpoints and Moral Judgment. Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright racists anti-white teachings for 20 years. Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him. To disciple means to reproduce yourself in others. Jeremiah Wright is probably the most racist Black pastor I have ever heard. Rev. Wright is so full of hate toward all whites that his speech at the National Press Club was incredibly racist even though he knew it would hurt Obama’s candidacy. Wright also gave the leader of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, an award in December 2007. “Farrakhan has repeatedly made hate-filled statements targeting Jews, whites, America, and homosexuals. He has called whites “blue-eyed devils” and the “anti-Christ.” He has described Jews as “bloodsuckers” who control the government, the media, and some black organizations.” [3][3] Farrakhan considers himself a Muslim, by the way. His views are typical Muslim views.

Senator Barak Hussein Obama is a disciple of this man! Even as a US Senator, he continued to attend this church and called this man his pastor! Is that the kind of moral judgment and racial values you want in a president? I hope not.

In conclusion, I urgently urge you to not vote for Barak Hussein Obama! America needs a person of color as President soon, but Barak Hussein Obama should not be that person!

Recognize the Danger - and Turn it away

Oct 24, 2008 - As Americans watch government at all levels grow increasingly ineffective, costly, and unable to deal with the myriad of problems it has created, the average citizen, educated in the government school system, is asking, 'Why?'

The answer is not difficult to determine.

What began as a nation rooted and developed in the wisdom and truths of the Bible, has slowly been overtaken by a world view that is not of God and can only lead to oppression, tyranny, and the loss of everything that made America the hope of the world.

Christians and Jews know this worldview started with the fall of Lucifer, and was passed down to all men through Lucifer's corruption of Adam and Eve. It gained momentum in America in 1859 with the publication of the Origin of Species by Charles Darwin.  It gained further momentum in 1870 when Harvard's new President, Charles William Eliot, chose Christopher Columbus Langdell, an evolutionist, as the first Dean of Harvard Law School (Cf. God, Man, and Law: The Biblical Principles by Herb Titus).  Langdell proceeded to undermine and destroy the Biblical basis of Law that had been the foundation of all English and American Law. In doing so, he furthered the rejection of the laws of God and His authority throughout the law schools of America. The next step was the publication of the Humanist Manifesto in 1933 and the establishment of 'secular humanism' as the new and approved American religion.

With evolution denying creation, err go, God Himself; the law based on humanistic reasonings and social evolution, not the eternal revelation of God; a 'manifesto' denying His creation and authority and promoting the new religion in our government schools, including law schools; and gaining control of our courts, the war on eternal truth has not abated. It is now manifested in a head to head battle with the American people in the current elections at every level, local state and federal.

William O. Douglas, famous US Supreme Court Justice, warned us of the coming 'darkness' and the 'oppression' it would bring. The 'twilight'* of which he spoke is the time in which we now live.  If the candidate is elected who will not defend the innocents or the elderly, God ordained marriage and morality, the laws of God, the rights of the people to defend themselves from an out of control humanistically controlled government, or our nation from the threat of radical Islam, the darkness of which Douglas spoke is soon to follow.

As Dr. James Dobson said in today's radio interview of Sarah Palin, the outcome will be determined by whether the Christians turnout in the numbers they are capable of, or not.

The Most Important Reason to Elect Palin!

Oct 21, 2008 - May I share with you the single most important reason to consider voting for Sarah Palin as Vice-President of the United States? This is just my opinion, as a private citizen, but I believe it reflects some key biblical truths we all should ponder during this critical time in America.

Most Christians know that the Bible teaches that God controls the destiny of nations. Just look at the OT history of Israel, Egypt, Babylon or Assyria, whose capital was Nineveh, where Jonah was sent.

God judges every nation on its degree of righteous, including America. His blessings or curses flow to that nation based on how they have lived before Him.

I hope we all now realize that America is under the increasing judgment of God. He is touching the apple of America's eye: our finances. I have warned about it for years. In 2007, Pastor Jack Hayford, Bishop Bill Hamon and Intercessor Alice Smith all warned that God was about to judge America for is sins. America and the world are now on the verge of an economic meltdown that would lower the standard of living for billions across the planet, including America. Millions would plunge into poverty.

In addition, We are locked in a long guerrilla war with Muslims worldwide and within our borders there are probably dozens, if not hundreds, of Muslim cells within America just waiting to unleash horrific damage on America. They could easily detonate an atomic weapon in America anytime they want unless the Church intervenes spiritually. Only the Church can lessen the judgment of God on America.

During times of judgment, it is critical for that nation's leaders to be in tune with God, to hear and obey His voice in order to lead the nation from under the judgment of God. Sarah Palin is such a leader. She is a very godly and courageous Christian woman. Several nationally respected leaders, including Pastor Dutch Sheets, sense the anointing of God on her. I wrote earlier that I think the Lord told me that Sarah Palin is to be a judge in America like the Judges in the Book of Judges: someone who helps rescue the nation from the judgment of God with strong moral and governmental leadership.

As Vice-President and perhaps later, as President, Sarah Palin could serve God and America like that. I do not see anyone running for national office right now better qualified to hear the voice of the Lord than Sarah Palin. For that reason alone, I strongly encourage you to vote for Sarah Palin!

Reprobation - Proof that God's Judgment is Near

That split second of doubt is what separates hope from the dismal condition described in the bible as being given over to a reprobate mind. Reprobation is several notches below hopelessness because for anyone whose conscience has sunk to this level, there is no chance of recovery. Reprobation of the mind comes by the edict and pronouncement of God and nothing on earth can reverse it. Let’s see what this is.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Romans 1:28

Reprobation is a state of mind that at first simply ignores the truth. As it progresses it begins to suppress the truth. When in full bloom the resistance to truth becomes active, militant and even violent. (2 Tim 3:8) It becomes a state that not only will not do anything good but those who have sunken to this condition no longer know what good is. Remember Germany didn’t start killing Jews when Nazism came in, they were glad to kill them when their brand of fascism was about to go out. It’s much like the analogy of the ships captain who announces that everything in the ships store is free and it’s OK to play football or basketball in the grand ballroom. Why, because he has just discovered the ship is sinking and will be under in less than fifteen minutes.

Are there people in the world today that have come to this most hopeless state of affairs? You can bet the farm on it. Let’s look at just a few of these developments. No mere article could cover the emerging world wide insanity that now sweeps the globe and is reported along with every new twist and nuance daily in newscasts, blogs and papers throughout the earth.

Recently Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran met with others in that country including Louisiana’s own former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke to reinforce their assertion that the entire holocaust was a myth. Eye witnesses, written records and film files notwithstanding, this group does not care what their eyes behold but only what their little darkened hearts have devised.

The New York Times published a piece on December 12, 2006 about Mr. Justin Lee who provides a website for gay Christians. Of course most Christians see Mr. Lee as walking contradiction. In reality Lee is actually living a life that contradicts the bible he says he believes in. Did God change his mind about homosexuality or did Mr. Lee change his mind about God’s truth? That answer is understood by even children who know their bibles.

In this country a year or so of debating on whether there really were any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq finished up with a whopping sock in the eye to the republican majority in both houses of congress. Yet not one moment of time was spent on debating on Hollywood’s new offering of everything rotten, raunchy and reprobate. All of media from games to children’s shows has dropped below the decency line so far as to make rock bottom look like a high rise by comparison. But who has eyes to see or the mouth to speak against Hollywood’s millions of hours of “weapons of mass distraction” being hurled at America at every minute of the day and night.

Gone is the time when presidents, world leaders and dignitaries checked with Billy Graham to see if God really wants us to be saved. Now is a time when we have Time magazine and Barbara Walters checking with Pastor Joel Osteen about whether God wants us to be rich. The three R-s have changed to raunchy, rich and reprobate.

How far will these trends go? Although it may seem hard to believe they will go all the way to mass murder. Jesus said there will come a day shortly before he returns when unbelievers held in the sway of the Antichrist will kill Christians and Jews and think they are doing God a service. (John 16:2)

The apostle Paul said that near the end of time the darkness that men suffer by Satan’s design will become pervasive and they will not be able to see the truth if it bounced off their heads like a brick. (Eph 4:18) This in itself is one of the signs of the approaching judgment and the second coming of Christ. Wholesale blindness will sweep the earth and men and women won’t be able to discern any truth at all. Has it begun? There are at least two ways to answer that question.

First, turn on the television and watch the news for a week or more, second, pick up the bible and read the New Testament from cover to cover. If you haven’t become reprobate you will end up on your knees and thank God that you haven’t fallen that far yet. If you still think its all bunk, beware, you may have already passed the point of no return.

Obama on Abortion

June 18, 2008 - 1. Maintaining the current policy on abortion is not “change.” Obama promises change every time he makes a speech. He’s out to change our economy, our health care system and our foreign policy. He’s a one-man change agent. Yet whenever he has voted on the abortion issue, all he’s done is protect the right to kill our most vulnerable citizens. No innovation here. All he offers is the same old same old.

Everyone on Capitol Hill knows Obama is a radical when it comes to abortion policy. He opposed a ban on partial-birth abortion (a clinical term for stabbing a baby in the neck when his arms, legs and torso are already outside the mother); then he criticized the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold that ban. While an Illinois lawmaker, Obama opposed a bill that would have prevented the killing of an infant born alive during an abortion.

To top that off, Obama said in April that if his young daughters got pregnant out of wedlock, he didn’t want them to be “punished with a baby.” In other words, he wants the abortion industry to thrive.

2. Abortion is racist. African-American pastor Wellington Boone pointed out in an article in Charisma last month that 36 percent of all abortions in the United States are performed on black women—even though they make up only 12 percent of the population. And Obama is OK with that?

It baffles me that liberals who pride themselves on being racially sensitive can get away with supporting a practice that destroys black families. It’s equally baffling that when pro-life African-American politicians enter the political arena they are ignored rather than cheered with Obamaesque fervor. So not only do we kill black babies; we also silence black leaders who don’t worship at the altar of Molech.

3. Abortion contradicts the essence of Christianity. I have dialogued with young Christian voters who say they are supporting Obama because they believe he will bring justice to poor people who’ve never achieved the American dream. Who are we fooling with this empty talk about justice? Hello? The God of justice abhors the slaughter of unborn babies!

Many Christians who support Obama do so because he opposes the Iraq war. I respect their position about a muddled conflict that has lasted too long. But has anybody done the math?

The number of U.S. soldiers who have been killed in Iraq since 2002 currently stands at 4,092. Yet a slightly smaller number of unborn babies, approximately 3,900, die every day in this country because of abortion. Currently we kill 1.4 million babies a year. Since abortion was legalized we’ve snuffed out more babies than the entire populations of Iraq, Israel and Jordan.

That’s more than 40 million people. It’s a holocaust we deny ever happened.

The mantra of the 2008 Democratic contest has been “every vote counts.” Yet no one, including Obama, is talking about the rights of an unborn infant whose skull is about to be stabbed with scissors or whose brains are about to be sucked out with a vacuum tube. His tiny hands—complete with fingernails by 14 weeks—will certainly never be allowed to press a button in a ballot booth.

Jay Sekulow of the ACLJ Warns Believers to Act Now

May 30, 2008 - It is comforting to know the ACLJ is with us in today’s climate of Christianity bashing, but according to Jay Sekulow the head of ACLJ we shouldn’t get too comfortable. In the organizations recent radio and TV broadcasts Sekulow has urged Christians to act now on issues such as freedom for U.S. military chaplains and attacks against religious symbols and literature in schools and public places.

Sekulow has pointed out that to witness or share the gospel in the military is easier if you are just an enlisted servicemen or officer. The chaplains have been seriously curtailed which makes no sense because it is they who are expected to represent the gospel to soldiers who are either in harms way or may be in the near future.

At a time when schools are making concession for Muslim and Hindu students so they can wear jewelry or garb related to their faith, Christians are being told just the opposite. Tee shirts, stickers, or jewelry that reflects faith in Jesus Christ is being prohibited and singled out. The American Center for Law and Justice has undertaken representation in many of these cases. There are an alarming number of such cases pending in the courts and much support is necessary to keep these cases updated.

Sekulow is calling for financial support but that is not all. He always urges Christians to pray and is not afraid to say that without the prayers America would be sliding away faster than it is already.

The ACLJ website has some useful and easily accessed features that are not found on similar sites. Beside the usual, become a member, sign a petition and make donations are three additional tools that anyone can use. You can write an elected official, call a talk radio show and write letters to editors all with the click of the mouse. These tools can cause a shift in policy if used by enough believers and this has already been borne out many times to date.

The details of the much disputed “Hate Crimes” bill is clearly defined by the ACLJ and it is impossible to miss the fact that if this kind of law becomes the law of the land then we are not too far from the Orwellian “Big Brother” kind of society that no one will be able to endure.

The ACLJ is an offshoot of Regents University in Virginia Beach but stands now as an international influence due to recent recognition by the United Nations. The ACLJ already influences law in some 35 countries globally and now has been granted “consultative” status to the European Centre for Law and Justice.
“This special designation enhances our ability to shape the global debate on religious freedom and human rights and dignity,” said Jay Sekulow, Chief Counsel of the ACLJ and ECLJ. “With the special consultative status, the ECLJ will now be in the unique position to file legal briefs and memorandums with UN governing bodies on a wide range of global issues. This designation is the next logical step in the development of our global outreach and will empower the ECLJ in the ongoing struggle to influence the world’s decision-makers to recognize the concept that freedom and liberty are universal, God-given and inalienable rights that must be protected.”

The reason this is particularly good news is because more than ever before international precedents are being cited in American jurisprudence. This is a dangerous sign only because it is seen as the erosion of our sovereignty as it pertains to our own laws and self determination. The enhanced positioning in the United Nations allows a better balance or at the very least a chance to offset present laws having to do with human rights issues on a global scale. If they’re gong to influence us why not try to influence them as well?

Sekulow is quick to note that Christians in America are all too happy just to stay involved with ecclesiastical affairs and they fluff off involvement with the law, civil matters or politics. The ACLU and similar organizations are attacking America’s religious freedoms with a new and heretofore unprecedented fervor. The call to action by the organization is by no means exaggerated in these times.

Jay Sekulow has a unique approach in all the cases the organization undertakes. He has repeatedly emphasized on the groups radio and TV broadcasts that his strategy is not singular. He says that if one strategy doesn’t work then they will simply try another one, but there is no quitting. It should not be hard for believers to get behind this kind of dogged persistence.

Pastor John Hagee has been heard to say that God gave man two ends. One is his head the other is his behind. He says that we can use our heads for the glory of God or sit on our behinds and do nothing. It is what makes true the saying “heads you win, tails you lose.” Jay Sekulow is calling for the church to go with “heads you win.”

Jay Sekulow’s call to the church to take action is no more than the words that Jesus spoke to all seven churches in the book of Revelation, regardless of what state they were in, each call was appendaged with these words, “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Re 3: 22

The Importance of Moral Foundations

April 17, 2008 - On a beautiful day in Washington D.C., The President of the United States today welcomed Pope Benedict XVI to the United States and to the White House. In their opening remarks, aired on national television - and before thousands on the White House grounds - both accentuated the profound importance in governments around the world, of respect for human life, religious liberty, and moral authority.

A Hunger for Moral Purpose 

In an age when those who deny the existence of God, and His 'eternal rules of order and right' cynically use the air waves, the Internet, entertainment, and the print media to denigrate Christ, Christians, and our involvement in the public square, the comments of both the President and the Pope were more than refreshing and long overdue.

Called to Confront 

Those in 'authority' who are elevated to positions of governance are 'sent by him (God) for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.' 

Our elected officials are called - by God - to exercise their authority, not to restrict, ignore or punish those who do what is 'right,' but those who practice and advocate that which God has revealed as ungodly and destructive.

President Bush rightly described those in America who advocate what is wrong, as participants in the "dictatorship of relativism."

That is precisely what the Governor of Oregon, the legislature, and state officials engage in by granting rights where no rights exist, including the legalization of same sex marriage in defiance of the will of the people.

Their defiance needs to be confronted and they themselves removed from office.

Confronting the dictatorship of relativism

In Oregon, and other states with leadership determined to ignore both the people and God's 'eternal rules', Christians must be prepared to ACT on behalf of God ordained marriage and moral order.  As the Apostle Peter said, "Gird your minds for action."

Determine to do your part to ensure Oregonians are given the opportunity to VOTE on the legislature's concoction of marriage by another name and unwarranted rights and privileges to homosexuals in defiance of the voice and will of the people.

Should You Read Your Bible?

March 7, 2008 - Are you making an effort to read your Bible often, Weekly, Daily? Great! That's a start. As of late, though I have been talking with others who have a conviction to know and live their Bible. They have realized that reading God's word daily is only a starting point.

In the few places God's word mentions reading the scriptures, in the very beginning of the bible as people were just receiving the word. Yet, even in Deuteronomy we see the following referring to the King, "When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law, taken from that of the priests, who are Levites. It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the LORD his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees and not consider himself better than his brothers and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel."

Reading was only the first step, following carefully and being humble were the result. Later in scripture it was usually referring to public reading, and for the benefit of those who could not read, and for teaching those who would pass the instruction on. One example is in Nehemiah eight. After years in captivity the Israelites had forgotten much of the Hebrew, and their scriptures. As the scrolls were rediscovered large public readings were held. "So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading”. (Neh. 8:8). These people had an awe of the word they couldn't fully understand. In the context of this chapter the people wept at even grasping a little. These public readings are also why there are many Old Testament passages that say, "Hear the Word of the Lord". Yet, we are to do more than just gather to hear it. The word in Hebrew is shama (Stong's # 8085). It means hear intelligently often with the implication of obedience. Our Lord, Savior, and Friend, the one who knows our deepest need, encourages us to do more than read daily and hear weekly. King David, proclaimed to his Heavenly King, "I have hid your word in my heart that I might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:11). In Joshua we see, "Meditate in it day and night” (Joshua 1:8). The fruit here was staying on the path, and success.

Jesus made statements like, "Have you not heard...? "Is it not written...? The implication being that people not only read the word, but really knew and therefore understood that He spoke the truth. We are shown in Acts seventeen the people of Berea that, "Searched the scriptures daily". Paul tells why, "so they would not be swayed from false teachings". When Paul spoke they were accustomed to the truth already. We also find, Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). It seems, studying, knowing, and working are also important in this walk with God. When did a daily devotional replace devotion? Do pages read equal passion? Paul also wrote, "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom. 10:17). This word hearing in this place, in Greek, can mean hearing with the ear, but it also means the sense of the thing heard, taking and understanding, internalizing that which is heard. The word is akouo, pronounced, ak-oo-o and may be the word we took acoustic from. What is an acoustic place? It is a place specially designed for absorbing sound we don't want and reverberating and magnifying the sound we do want.

I will admit something. Memorizing scripture isn't easy for me. However, it is important. It is the first step to knowing it and living it out. Therefore I take time to write out scripture, and carry them with me and look at them when there is a moment. I've found posting them in places where I'll see them helps, and even drawing pictures to remind me of scripture helps place them in my heart. One can also imagine situations in which the scripture would apply in their life, and how one would live it out. It has proven worth the effort. God has taken things I have memorized, and applied them to a current situation speaking quietly to me, "It's time to stand on these now".

I am not being legalistic, nor taking away from the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian. I know many Christians in the world do not even have complete Bibles to work with. However, "to whom much is given, much is expected." I am saying that God's word is His love letter to us, and we ought to be immersed in it.

Remember thought this too is only a part of the process to become like Christ. There is a danger of putting the "Book" above it's Author. Christ mentioned this also, But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life (John 38-40)

People can also listen to other spirits. I want discernment to know when I am hearing something which sounds good, but is contrary to scripture. This is another reason God is quickening hearts to have His word in us. I think we are also engaged in the times spoken of in these verses, "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand" (Mark 13:22-23).

What will you do? Will you leave God on the coffee table, inside a devotional, or sermon, or will you let God, His Word, and the Holy Spirit be known to you, so that it can be expressed though you?

Can a devout Muslim be an American patriot and a loyal citizen?

I forwarded that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years. The following is his forwarded reply:

"Theologically, no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia .

Religiously, no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran,  2:256)

Scripturally, no Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).

Geographically, no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca , to which he turns in prayer five times a  day.

Socially, no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.

Politically, no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and destruction of America , the great Satan.

Domestically, no. Because  he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34 ).

Intellectually, no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.

Philosophically, no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and _expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co - exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or Autocratic.

Spiritually, no. Because when we declare  "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in the Quran's 99 excellent names."

Therefore after much study and deliberation.... perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both"good" Muslims and good Americans.  Call it what you wish.....it's still
the truth.

If you find yourself intellectually in agreement with the above statements, perhaps you will share this with your friends. The more who understand this, the better it will be  for our country and our future.

Why Minimum Wage

Posted April 20, 2006 - Minimum wage has been around as long as I can remember. It dates back to the year 1912 when Massachusetts enacted the first minimum-wage law. It was established to protect the low income and unskilled labors. The federal government set a national minimum wage with the passage of the Fair Labor Standards Act in 1938. It started with .25 cents per hour and is adjusted periodically by Congress and the President. In April 1993 it reached $4.25 an hour.

As of today, the minimum wage is $5.15 an hour. It has taken a total of 68 years to go from .25 cents to $5.15. That is an increase of $4.95 over 68 years. That is scandalous for the riches country in the world today!

How is a person expected to buy a home that can cost one hundred and fifty thousand dollars up to four hundred thousand, raise a family, pay their bills, buy a car and pay gas prices of today soon to be anywhere from $3.00 to $5.00 per gallon, put food on the table, pay for medication and educate their children? Never has there been more homeless people on the streets, in their cars, under bridges, or anywhere they can find a place to rest their heads.

What can we do about it? Plenty! Get out and vote for people who are honest and really want to put others first instead of looking out for themselves. Since the minimum wage was established it has come before Congress and the President numerous times and many times it has been voted down. Interesting to note is the same people voted themselves an increase in pay of several thousand dollars both in the House, Senate and on the local levels. Meanwhile, the people who work for minimum wage have to work two or sometimes three jobs to make ends meet. Again I say, “This is scandalous!”
